A teeny, tiny puppy is safe thanks to two Los Angeles police officers.

Officers who found him wandering the streets alone, and his adorable story is giving us yet another reason to love our canine companions.

The two officers came across the pup on Hobart Boulevard and the furry fella clearly knew he’d be safe around them because he began to follow the pair and wouldn’t give up.

Both of you will be loved forever 💕

The officers picked the pup up and brought him back with them to the station.

After rescuing the pup—who was renamed ‘Hobart’ after the street near where he was found.

Their vow to serve and to protect also applies to animals, so Officers Mercado and Tavera decided to bring the little paw patroller into their station.

It’s unclear how Hobart ended up on the street that day but it’s likely that the first thing the officers did was to make sure he was, indeed, ‘aban.don.ed’ and not just lost.

Dogs are a man’s best friend.💖

The police officers also fell in love with Hobart. They also announced that Hobart is the newest member of their canine unit. Are they not cute together?

Hobart was brought to the police station where he was given an honorary K-9 title.

And luckily for ‘Hobart’, Mercado decided to make him the happiest little puppy in the world and adopted him.

The tweets quickly took off online and soon enough the trending hashtag #HollywoodHobart was filled with fans singing the small pup’s praises.

Despite this small pup’s tiny size, we’re confident he brings an enormous amount of joy into his forever family’s hearts.
